It's officially a year since I started my own business. It was a big leap for me, and at the time, I wasn't sure of my ability to work for myself. As I hadn't owned a business before, and hadn't 'worked' for a wee while, I was pretty nervous about starting out. I was so blown away when many of you supported me with incredibly supportive and humbling comments. We never really know how other's see us, and your feedback was really affirming. I felt reassured that I could definitely give it a nudge.
Now, a year later, I feel so humbled by the people who have referred to me, the people who have come along for support, and the people who have continued to affirm me. I love my wee business. I love the priviledge of walking alongside people in their journey. I love the people I've met, the lessons I've learned, and most of all, I've loved working!!!!
To add to my continual growth, I decided to complete a University paper, and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I've attended many workshops, and have embraced a much stronger understanding of trauma as well as attachment difficulties/early childhood trauma.
I hope during this continued changing and challenging year that you are finding a sense of safety and security amongst loved ones. Be kind to yourself, remember to breathe. 5 big breaths right into your belly can help to calm most intense emotions.
